Electronic Technician

Essential Job Functions:

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Follow the appropriate reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality, and customer requirement outages.
  • Follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment and comply with Schreiber and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Perform corrective, preventative, project, and emergency electrical and electronic maintenance on plant equipment, support, and utility systems.
  • Perform modifications, component replacements, troubleshooting, calibration adjustments, and performance checks on plant equipment.
  • Perform PLC programming
  • Assure electrical equipment and installations meet all applicable requirements
  • Complete projects as assigned including planning, purchasing of materials, modifications, and major overhauls of equipment.
  • Monitor critical equipment as outlined in maintenance procedures.
  • Assist other maintenance and production team members as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Dependability (ability to maintain an absenteeism rate under 3%)
  • Willingness to work OT and weekends as required.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. and/or technical schooling
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow complex troubleshooting instructions and identify parts from equipment manuals.
  • Must pass power equipment certification as needed.
  • Must pass the Ramsey Maintenance Test

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with motors, PLCs, controls and instrumentation, servos, electrical distribution, VFD's, valves
  • 2 years maintenance and/or logistical equipment experience

 

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Food Manufacturing, Occasional Warehouse & External
  • Exposures: Loud sounds (hearing protection required), heights

Shifts Available:

 

Night shift- 12 hour ?rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
