Rebecca’s career in education began with earning a Master of Science degree at Shippensburg University, then working as a public-school teacher. Her passion for youth’s holistic success and for science sparked her interest in optimal health for youth through risk-avoidance based relationship education, launching her on a meaningful journey. For 11 years, Rebecca has taught programming through non-profit work serving both public and private schools, while forming a strong partnership with her county’s Children and Youth Services’ Independent Living Program, serving on their Advisory Board. As Penn's Youth Initiative's Operations Director, Rebecca applies her education skills and leadership experiences to the administrative side of this newly formed educational non-profit.
