Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant 

 

Keystone Health is excited to welcome a full-time COTA to our dynamic team at our Pediatric Development Center! As a growing Community Health Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the wellness of our community and our children. 

 

 

 

Position Details: 

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • No weekends or holidays
  • This position will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). 

 

 

Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Treatment:

  • Administer occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
  • Provide individual and group therapy to pediatric patients to support functional development.
  • Co-treat with speech therapy and other disciplines as appropriate.
  • Assist the OT in planning and implementing group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, responses, and changes during treatment.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies.

 

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Effectively communicate patient progress and concerns to the supervising OT.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences as required.

 

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) and therapy notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to state licensing laws, HIPAA regulations, and ethical guidelines for occupational therapy practice.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and treatment plans as directed by the supervising OT.

 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Pennsylvania
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience with pediatrics, especially autism is preferred
  • Demonstrates strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
