Adams County Winery to Host Harvest Festival
Orrtanna, PA - Adams County Winery will host their annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 from 10am until 6pm.

The staff will be entertaining the crowds with a grape stomp and t-shirt staining activity and live music will be provided by returning artist Schizophonic on the Stray Cat Stage from 1pm – 4pm.

Wine releases for this day will include Apple Pie, released previously in 2023, and Vintage Roots, which was released privately to the Barrel Taster’s Club and now will be available for the general public. Apple Pie is created from 100% local apples with cinnamon and vanilla flavors like the apple pie that Grandma used to make! Vintage Roots is a refreshing fruity wine with notes of pink grapefruit and pomegranate. Stop in the tasting room for samples of these wines, and many of the other Adams County Winery varietals. Adams County Winery recently won the 2024 Best Winery award in the Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia Tristate area by Verstandig Media.

Enter the big red barn to purchase wine, wine flights, wine slushies, and beer. The Terrace Bistro will be serving wood-fired pizzas and pretzels until 4pm. Purchase your favorite and then pick a seat among the carefully designed flora, lovingly placed and cared for by Master Gardener Don.

Adams County Winery opened its doors in 1975 in Orrtanna, PA, and is currently Pennsylvania’s fifth-oldest operating winery, as well as the Gettysburg area’s original winery. The Farm Winery location sits on more than 75 acres of rolling hills and farmland while operating out of an 1860's registered historic PA bank barn. In 1988, Tears of Gettysburg was first bottled at the winery, and to this day, it remains one of their most popular wines, as well as one of the oldest continually made wines in Pennsylvania.
