ChambersFest 2021 will be enjoyed by thousands in the Chambersburg community. Events from July 10 to 17 will include Restaurant Week, Old Market Day, Burning of Chambersburg, Acapella & Unplugged, Scoop-a-Palooza Ice Cream Trail, North Square Farmers Market, Tim & Susan Cook Race and more.
ChambersFest began as a tribute to the resilience of the people who rose up following the devastating burning by Confederates in 1864. Join us for the greatest community celebration of the year!

Ice Cream Trail - 20+ Vendors
Scoop-a-Palooza, the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation’s yearly ice cream festival, has transformed into an “Ice Cream Trail” with visits to local vendors, prizes and special virtual events lasting throughout July. Sponsored by ACNB Bank, Scoop-a-Palooza Ice Cream Trail will take place from July 1-31. Join the fun by following a downloadable trail map to local ice cream shops and taking pictures of your sweet treats to enter to win prizes. Other special virtual activities are planned!

17th Annual Tim & Susan Cook Memorial Race
July 10, 7 - 10 a.m., Chambersburg
Participate in the 17th Annual Tim & Susan Cook Memorial 1-Mile Race/Walk. Registration begins at 7 a.m. at the Chambersburg Area Senior High School (CASHS) upper stadium area, with the women’s race/walk at 8 a.m. and the men’s race/walk at 8:30 a.m. Money raised from this event is contributed to the Tim & Susan Cook Memorial Scholarship Fund, which annually awards scholarships to two seniors from CASHS. Celebrity Human Sundae Event - Scoop-a-Palooza
July 10, 11:30 a.m., 100 Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg
Watch in-person or via Facebook Live as Dan Baer, Vice President and Trust Officer of ACNB Bank become a human sundae (complete with a cherry on top!). All kids attending in-person will receive a free balloon from ACNB Bank.

Franklin County Historical "A Step in Time" Exhibit
July 13-17, 175 East King Street, Chambersburg
The Franklin County Historical Society ongoing exhibit, A Step in Time. The exhibit interweaves fashions, culture and music of the decades 1900 through 1970. Guests may make an appointment to view the exhibit or take a tour by calling 717.264.1667 or visiting franklinhistorical.org. The museum is located inside the Old Franklin County Jail, 175 East King Street, Chambersburg.

Special Galleries at The Foundry

The Foundry will have expanded hours for Old Market Day Saturday July 17, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. On view will be the community project “Love is Love”, with canvases by 50 artists from throughout the region, arranged into a visual art “quilt”, co-sponsored by Pride Franklin County. The Foundry’s Spotlight Gallery will feature “Into the Wild”, member artwork ranging from wildlife to wild paintings!

Burning of Chambersburg Reenactment

As darkness approaches, the town will transform to 1864 and the story of the town’s ransoming, burning and rebirth will come to life with incredible light and atmospheric effects. A variety of activities will lead up to the reenactment of the Burning of Chambersburg light show.
