Bus Tour Description:
One of the largest and bloodiest battles of the Revolution, here General Washington’s Continental Army faced British Redcoats of General Sir William Howe in all-day combat along Brandywine Creek. The decisive action forced the Patriots to abandon Philadelphia. Sites to visit:
· Kennett Square: where the British camped the night before the battle
· Kennett Meeting House: where the first shots were fired
· Brandywine Visitor Center
· Lafayette’s Headquarters
· The American Lines along the Brandywine
