Description
The Cumberland Valley Sampler will present it's nineteenth show, "Salute to America and the Armed Forces," on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 6:00 pm, in the historic Capitol Theatre in downtown Chambersburg, PA. CVSampler is a daughter organization of the Chambersburg Community Theatre, Inc. Since its founding in 2004, CVSampler has produced "salutes" to such topics as: food, animals, education, love and romance, the family, and anatomy and physiology. This year's show will center around "music, history, the military, and many other pieces of Americana.
Accompanied by a live thirteen-piece band, the Music Maker Choruses, numbering approximately 90, will sing well-known songs including: "Strike up the Band," Over There," "Kids," "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." and "You are my Sunshine." The Kiddie Korps pre-school chorus will present a medley of American folk-songs. The audience will be invited to join the choruses in two old-fashioned sing-a-longs.
Other guests scheduled to appear are: Kelly Kozlowski, CAMS North Cheerleaders, Don't Look Down, Mar-le-Nie' Dancers, Sandra Franklin, David Bonham, Peggy Dawson, and the Senior Swingers (swing dancers).
As always, audience participation, games, and $500 worth of prizes will highlight this family-friendly, musical-variety show.
