Christmas at the Grove

Take a leisurely drive through Rhodes Grove Camp to enjoy lighted cottages and appreciate the real reason for the season with narrated nativity story scenes. Enjoy this opportunity, Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to get into the Christmas spirit. Rhodes Grove Camp is located at 7693 Browns Mill Road, Chambersburg, PA  17202.

This year’s Christmas at the Grove begins with local organizations and companies who have decorated cottages with different themes. Goodie bags will be distributed to enjoy during the drive. And then finally, a time to recall the events that happened before and after the birth of Jesus, performed by volunteers. Some of the nativity scenes will also have some live animals to accentuate the environment.

Brad Mowery, the Executive Director of the ministry, said “Christmas at the Grove is a great way to fulfill our core value of Community Connection by bringing joy to the world as we remind local people of Jesus’ birth. Last year 166 cars came through the camp, and this year we look to have over 200 cars cruise through the campground.”

Rhodes Grove Camp and Conference Center, Chambersburg, offers summer camps, retreats, and conference facilities as well as rental spaces for use by churches and local groups. The non-profit ministry seeks to offer “Christ-centered experiences that reveal our place in God’s Story.”
