DESCRIPTION:SHIPPENSBURG   The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter will hold their 24th annual Dog Walk and Contests from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday\, Oct. 5\, at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds.  \n\n \n\nThe event will be held rain or shine and registration begins at 9 a.m.\, with the walk starting at 10.\n\n \n\nParticipants are asked to raise money by getting sponsors for the dog walk. All walkers will receive a participation bag. Those who raise $25 or more will receive a t-shirt. Those who raise $75 or more will get a walk down the prize table where there are some amazing items up for grabs. \n\n \n\nSponsor sheets can be downloaded at cvas-pets.org. All monies collected will be due on the day of the walk.\n\n \n\nThe canine contests will begin after the dog walk. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: best trick\, best costume\, best kisser\, best tailwag and most obedient.
