Description
Come enjoy an evening run through historic downtown Chambersburg, PA. See the sights as you race by Fort Chambers, the hustle and bustle of Main Street, and the peacefulness of the Conococheague Creek. As the sunset glows, awards will be given to the top male and female finisher in each age bracket
Why Run or Walk?
Poverty affects an entire community!
1 out of 5, or 20% of Franklin County families cannot meet basic living expenses.
Hardworking families are caught in a cycle of poverty and don’t know what to do.
Race Against Poverty is an opportunity to take a stand together as a community against the poverty that grips many of our own, and stifles our full potential.
All proceeds will go directly to support the work of Circles; "Inspiring and Equipping our Community to End Poverty" in the lives of local families.
This is a great run through downtown Chambersburg. Traffic control will be at crosswalks, but please remain alert and aware of traffic. Walkers will be required to use sidewalks and follow regular pedestrian rules at intersections. No roller blades, bicycles, and no refunds. Held rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, make up day is on June 13. Check In will be held on the corner of Main & King Street (162 East King Street).
Registration, directions, and additional info is available on our website.
