Several years ago Employee Engagement became the newest buzz word in human resource circles, offering HR leaders the latest employee surveys, webinars and consulting engagements all designed to measure and boost employee engagement within your organization. HR leaders who have been around for a while remember similar excitement when Corporate Culture was stealing headlines.
The truth is, there is much overlap between the two. Trying to affect culture change without engaged employees or addressing employee engagement in a vacuum without regard to company culture would be futile.
In this session learn the bottom-line benefits of having engaged employees and the critical roles of supervisors, HR leaders and executives in bringing about long-term, meaningful change in how employees feel about their contributions AND the secrets to tapping into employees’ discretionary effort.
Also, gain insight into actual tools, tactics and communications strategies that helped to create a Culture of Employee Engagement at Patriot Federal Credit Union and other successful organizations. Time permitting, we will conclude with an open forum for sharing experiences with engagement.
For over three decades, Mike Dougal has served as a human resource professional across many industries, including government, non-profit, social service and financial services.
As a Principal Consultant for nearly 15 years, he assisted clients with their human resource initiatives, including performance management, organizational design, executive search, compensation design and change management. In 2013 he brought his years of experience and passion for culture change to the leadership team at Patriot Federal Credit Union. As Chief Human Resource Officer at Patriot, he oversees HR, Training & Development, Culture & Change Management, as well as Process Improvement.
Mr. Dougal is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
