Mingle with fellow young professionals at this happy hour. Roy-Pitz happy hour specials run from 4-6 p.m. and include $1 off drinks.
Spring Into Wellness Panel
Think professional development is all about work skills? How about taking care of your mind and body so you can perform at your highest level? The Spring Into Wellness panel will help you do just that. Featuring distinguished panelists from a variety of industries, you'll learn how to best fit healthy habits into your daily schedule as a busy young professional. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions about personal wellness and community health in Franklin County.
Panelists include:
- Karen P. Johnston, MEd., Executive Director, Healthy Communities Partnership of Greater Franklin County. Karen graduated from Penn State with a BS in Individual and Family Studies, later receiving her Masters in Health Education. She has been involved in human services and health promotion work for over 20 years. In her current role, Karen works collaboratively with area systems in order to coordinate services, plans and implements various health and wellness initiatives in the area.
- Thelma Reibsome, Manager and Personal Trainer, Snap Fitness Chambersburg. Thelma has a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Miami and is an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist as well as a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. She has worked with individuals and teams ranging from 5 year old school students to Olympic and professional athletes.
- Krystil Smith, Food & Nutrition Manager, Humane Society of the United States. Krystil works closely with food and nutrition professionals across the nation to implement Meatless Monday and other healthy, sustainable and humane eating initiatives. She holds a Juris Doctor and a Masters of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.
- Marianne Weaver, Human Resources Business Partner for Sales & Marketing, Volvo Construction Equipment. Marianne has been a full time employee with Volvo since October 2012. Marianne has also been passionately instructing and choreographing fitness routines for over thirty years and currently teaches group fitness and spinning classes at the Chambersburg YMCA.
